i purchase my 6030 series printer in Germany. It used 305 ink when we were there. I can't i find that ink in US but online forums indicated use 67XL for the same printer. When i replaced cartridges, it shows errors ' incompatible catridges' . Recommendation is to re regionalize the printer so it can accept 67XL cartridges in US. Can you help with that?

Hi @CeeSaw,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand, and yes, you're exactly right—HP printers are region-locked, meaning they are tied to the country or region where they were first set up. Since your HP ENVY 6030 All-In-One printer was originally registered in Germany, it's locked to use HP 305/305XL cartridges (used in Europe). In the United States, the equivalent printer uses HP 67/67XL cartridges, but they will show as incompatible unless the printer's region is changed.
To perform a printer region reset, you need to meet the following conditions:
1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.
2. You need to have the printer's full feature software installed on your computer.
3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region/country from where the printer was purchased originally, or the new region/country to which you want to reset it.
4. Make sure the HP Smart App is installed too.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
