HP Recommended

I replaced the black ink cartridge on my hp OfficeJet 4650 with the same hp63XL cartridge that I've used for years and I got the message on my printer saying "ink cartridge is not intended for use in this printer".  I've tried popping the cartridge out and replacing it a few times, still no luck-any advice anyone?
