m281fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

LaserJet model m281fdw keeps showing supply error and keeps rebooting as a 79 error as well.  This all began after HP update about a week back.  I've now changed all of the cartridges to new ones (unnecessary money spent) in an effort to resolve the issue.  Nothing seems to work as I have also rebooted and reset several times.  I even tried the virtual assistant but because it didn't have the type of cartridge that my printer uses, it was unable to assist.  How can this issue be fixed?

I'd like to help!

 

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

 

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
