Using compatible cartridges without problems for years. Suddenly printer unable to communicate with any cartridge (all cartrdges fitted are at least 75% full). Smells like a recent software update reporting non-communication with compatible cartridges. Is there any known fix? HP support website useless.
After a lot of research managed to downgrade the latest firmware 'upgrade' - suddenly everything works again. HP demonstrated they cannot be trusted to treat their customers with respect (by warning about the adverse effect of this latest software upgrade for example). On the basis of this experience I will think long and hard about buying HP again when the time comes to replace my laptops and printers in the future.

- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
