Hi @Lima16
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand you're continuing to receive a "Supply System Problem" error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer even after replacing all cartridges with new genuine HP cartridges.
Since new cartridges did not resolve the issue, the error may be related to cartridge recognition, electrical contact communication, or the printer's ink delivery system.
Please try the following steps:
- Turn the printer on and wait until it is idle.
- Remove all installed cartridges.
- With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for approximately 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and then to the printer.
- Power on the printer if it does not start automatically.
- Reinstall the cartridges one at a time, ensuring each cartridge clicks securely into its slot.
If the error returns:
- Open the cartridge access door.
- Remove the cartridges again.
- Inspect the copper-colored electrical contacts on each cartridge and inside the carriage for any ink residue, dust, or protective material that may still be present.
- If needed, gently clean the cartridge contacts using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water. Allow them to dry completely before reinstalling.
Next, check for any printer firmware updates:
- From the printer control panel, select Setup.
- Select Printer Maintenance or Printer Update.
- Check for and install any available firmware updates.
- Restart the printer after the update completes.
If the printer reaches the Home screen, you can also use the HP App to verify printer health and complete any available maintenance tasks.
If the "Supply System Problem" message persists after these steps, note whether the printer displays a more specific error code (for example, beginning with 0x or indicating a particular cartridge color), as that can help identify the affected component more precisely.
We look forward to your update on the results of these steps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
Regards,
