I am having the same problem. I have an OfficeJet Pro 8210. It recently stopped printing and gives me an error message of "supply system problem." I am using HP brand cartridges. We bought the printer in March 2021, have used it relatively little, and it is no longer under warranty.

I've tried everything that the virtual assistant suggested:

  • Unplugged the printer and plugged it back in.
  • Replaced all the cartridges with new HP brand cartridges. Same problem.
  • Wiped the contact heads with a lint free cloth.
  • Tried to download an upgraded firmware but the HP web site said there is no upgraded firmware for this printer.

Please help! I have spent HOURS on the web site going in circles trying to find an answer.

Hi Alden./ Thanks for your response!

But I can't find the private message icon on my screen. I'm attaching two screen shots of what I see. What does the private message icon loom like? It didn't seem to be anything I could find.

Hi Alden.

You just told me to contact HP engineers at this link:  https://www.hp.com/contacthp/

But that link does NOT give me any way to reach an engineer. It just gives me the virtual assistant (which, as I wrote earlier in this message chain, I tried but it didn't help) and then the option of this support board chat with you.  It is taking me IN A CIRCLE with no way to have a conversation with a human being.

Earlier, you told me to click on the private message icon on my screen. But my screen does not show a private message icon, as I stated in my earlier message.

You keep referring me to non-existent support options.

I feel trapped in a loop of un-support here. I am trying to solve this problem and get my printer to work. PLEASE tell me how to connect with a human being for advice.

I used to have a high opinion of HP but am feeling very frustrated.

Ilana
