I've recently unsubscribed from the HP plan and as bought a new HP printer, it looks that I simply cannot print anymore from the old printer since I have unsubscribed the old plan

I receive an error message saying that my cartridges are not compatible and I keep getting a light saying that the ink cartdrige is empty. I get an error message to say the printer is busy when I have this ink in, which is shutting down communication to the printer so it won't accept anything. Is there a way around this? I have not done anything wrong its ink i was sent on the old plan for the old printer - i just want to use up the old ink for the old printer

The printer was working fine until I unsubscribe to this ink plan

Remove all the Instant Ink cartridges from the printer.

Purchase a fresh set of HP ink cartridges and install.

What is "Free Ink"?

 

There is no extra cost for ink.

 

Ink is provided as part of your subscription - use a drop or use a cup full, ink is included at no extra cost.

 

Important

 

  • All ink activated by the plan and all ink sent to you works as along as the trail / subscription service is active.

and

  • After the initial Ink Kit is mailed out, ink is sent (only) when the printer notifies the service that ink is depleted and a shipment is needed.

and

  • Subscription / Instant Ink cartridges remain the property of HP and should be returned to HP at close (termination) of the service contract.
