Troubleshooting Steps
Check Printer Settings
- Open Printer Preferences and ensure the print mode is set to Best Quality or Photo Mode.
- Try enabling Print as Image in the print dialog (especially for PDFs).
Update Printer Drivers
- Go to Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
- Expand Printers, right-click your printer, and select Update driver.
- Alternatively, download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website.
Run Print Head Cleaning
- Open Printer Maintenance and run a Print Head Cleaning cycle.
- If available, run a Deep Cleaning cycle to clear clogged nozzles.
Check Ink Levels & Cartridges
- Ensure all ink cartridges are properly seated and have sufficient ink.
- If using a refilled cartridge, it might not dispense ink correctly.
Try a Different File Format
- If printing a PDF, try converting it to JPEG or PNG before printing.
- Some printers struggle with certain file formats.
Test with a Different App
- Try printing from Microsoft Paint or Adobe Acrobat instead of Word.
