Hi, I have a deskjet 2600 series I have not used for a while but its been stored in its box and seems immaculate and was working fine last time I used it probably 6 months ago. Every time I print now however it seems the paper does not get pulled into the printer straight and then folds the paper and causes a jam. The paper I am using is HP everyday standard A4 sized and is also perfect no curves or folds etc so I can't seem to work out the issue. Anyone have any advice before I go and buy a whole new printer, seems a waste to do so.

There is a foreign object in the printer on the side where the paper gets folded. Remove paper and inspect the interior of the printer. Also, you have a jam access door on the bottom side open and inspect if nothing is visible from above.

Sorry I probably should have stated in my first post that I have already inspected the printer as far as possible without taking it apart. I have opened all access panels and looked In from above and cannot see anything that might be identified as a foreign object, the paper also gets folded all the way along not just on one side it makes a perfect fold about 1/3 up. If there are no other ideas I will take a screwdriver to it and take it apart.
