I've printed maybe 100 pages total off of this thing. It's still in perfect condition. I'm a fairly technologically-savvy person but I cannot for the life of me understand what the problem is.
I recently tried printing a standard document (all I have ever printed on this printer) and received the "Remove any jammed paper and make sure the paper tray is installed properly" error. I opened the printer as instructed but did not see any paper jams. Cleared the error and tried again. Same error. I looked extra hard this time but still did not find any jams or obvious issues. Same error. After a total reset, the same error... then somehow suddenly managed to print just one page. It then reverted to the error and has not printed anything since. All drivers and software are up to date, and I am confident when I say that I have now been through every single tutorial and reset procedure on the internet for this device, to no avail. Cartridge alignment/cleaning won't even work. That was about a month ago.
Today, I got an opportunity to approach it again, but still am receiving the same error and it won't print. Of course, my warranty has now expired and this appears to be my only hope for a free solution. With as little work as this thing has actually done and the price I purchased it for, I refuse to pay more money to have someone simply diagnose the problem, much less repair it. Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise, this will be the last HP product I ever own. Thanks!
