Envy 7858 PAPER WILL NOT FEED

My printer, in the last few months refuses to pick up and feed my paper to print.  I don't know what happened all of a sudden but I'm at wits end and ready to throw the printer out the window 😠.  I have done everything as the website suggested including cleaning ALL rollers.  The screen indicates it WANTS HP PAPER.  And this comes up every time I want to print.  I can't get past this no matter what "new" paper I put in the tray.  No, I AM NOT USING HP paper 👿.  That is the must ridiculous thing for a printer to be paper picky.  Anyone know what I can do to get past this.  If not, this printer will be history.  I'll NEVER buy another HP if this problem can't be resolved!!

"Everything" is a lot - at least generally.

I am sorry nothing has helped.

For those reading

"Everything" does include (and might not be limited to):

• Roller Cleaning,
• Printer Reset / Restart, 
• Checking / replacing paper, paper quality and condition,
• Printer must be aware of the paper size / type - Tray and Paper Management

and...

Software must be installed and functional / healthy

• Uninstall printer software from Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features
• Restart computer and sign in
• Download-Save-Install a fresh copy the full driver printer software

Paper Picky

In so much that I am aware, the printer is not HP brand paper-picky.

The device does require high-quality paper:

Characteristics to check

• Supported weight and size (Specifications)
• Selected supported size, type in the settings (Printing Preferences)
• Not too dry, not too damp, not curled, not embossed, no colors other than white or perhaps pale cream color.

Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers

Right-Click on your printer > Printing Preferences

• When called from within printing software / applications, Printing Preferences might be called "Printer Properties" / "Shortcuts" / “More Settings” / “Properties” / "Printer Setup" or similar.

• No Size?  If the size of the Paper Size is not included in the Drop-down list, consider / try:  Create a Custom Paper Size Form.  Reference:  HP Printers - Creating Custom Paper Sizes

Select / leave Printing Preferences Shortcut to "Everyday Printing" or something equally benign.

Preparation > Check / enable the printer as the “Default Printer”

Settings > Devices > Printers and scanners

UNCHECK (clear box) Let Windows manage my default printer

Select (Left-Click) your printer from the list of printers > Manage > Set as Default
