False Paper Jam and Spewing Blank Paper!

Greetings. My printer has a couple of issues that may be related.

When it starts up, it prints out blank page after page. Then it says, then it says there's a paper jam. But if you press okay on the LCD, it jets out the paper that it was holding in the duplexer area. Then it continues to spew out  paper until it leaves another paper in the duplexer. Then I have to repeat everything. Click ok, for the paper to feed out, and so on and so on. My drivers and  firmware are up to date. I left it disconnected overnight, I've reset the printer. But the paper continues to be wasted!

Any ideas?

And yes, I can cancel the printing, but I want to resolve it so I don't have to. So it works as it's supposed to. Nothing is in my print queue.

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Deskjet, Photosmart 6520 Printers - A 'Paper Jam' Error and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Yes, I ran through those steps. It looks to be a sensor issue. If I use the right amount of paper, for the print job, then all is good. The printer prints those pages and stops. But If I leave more paper, then it just continues to spew out paper. So for now, I'm good. But I'll be looking into buying another printer.
