Can anyone help me with a problem I'm having with my HP Smart Tank 790 printer?
Since I purchased it, it has always printed 5x7 inch photos incorrectly. It scrolls upward, cutting off the image and leaving a blank space at the bottom of the paper of 2, 3, or 4 cm. It doesn't matter if I create the size in the printer software, if I set the default size of 5x7 that it already has, if I print them with HP Photo Paper or Other Inkjet Photo Paper, if I print them with borders or borderless, it always crops them. This is very strange because it never crops 4x6, 6x8, or letter-sized photos.
Also, it sometimes crops my prints on letter-sized cardstock paper with the Other Inkjet Matte Paper setting, but it never fails when I print with Normal Paper and Best quality. Although the prints come out a little blurrier with that setting, they don't distort the image.
Sorry if some things are not clear, I translated this using Google Translate and I see that the official HP forum is only in English.

Hi @JorgeAAV
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue!
Based on what you've described, here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem with your HP Smart Tank 790 printer:
Check Paper Settings: Ensure that the paper size and type are correctly set in both the printer software and the print settings of the application you're using. Double-check that the 5x7 size is selected and matches the paper loaded in the tray.
Update Printer Firmware and Drivers: Outdated firmware or drivers can sometimes cause printing issues. Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest updates for your printer.
Calibrate the Printer: Perform a printer calibration through the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel. This can help align the print heads and improve accuracy.
Adjust Paper Guides: Make sure the paper guides in the input tray are snug against the edges of the paper. Loose guides can cause misalignment during printing.
Test with Different Paper: Try using a different brand or batch of 5x7 photo paper to rule out any issues with the paper itself.
Reset the Printer: Power off the printer, unplug it for a minute, and then plug it back in. This can sometimes resolve unexpected glitches.
Let me know how it goes!

It's still the same, I did all the steps, I also bought another brand of 5x7 photo paper with a different texture and nothing solved the problem, the only way is to create a 5x7.1 or 5x7.2 inch template in a program like Word or Photoshop and put the image at the bottom of the template, leaving the extra space at the top, but it still seems strange to me that it only happens with that sheet size and with the print profile on HP Photo Paper and Other Photo Paper.
