Hi,
I bought my printer 2 months ago, and I noticed that when I print photos using 4R (4" x 6") photo paper, there's at least 50% chance that the print fails.
The actual printing actions (spraying the ink) start even when the photo paper hasn't get into position; the printer still proceeds with the job. Once the printing is complete, a blank sheet is ejected, and all the ink that should have been applied to the paper ends up inside the printer, beneath the inkjet area.
I tried to ask for HP technical support (I live in UK), however the guy says the printer doesn't support 4R photo paper. It doesn't sound like the right answer to the issue.
Is this true or how can the issue been fixed?
Many thanks,
Kevin

I understand you are unable to print on photo paper.
My apologies for this inconvenience caused to you.
As pet the printer specfication it supports 4x6 paper and support photo paper as well.
Did you check if this issue persists while printing from a mobile device?
In the meanwhile, try the below steps:
This seems to be a driver issue, uninstall and reinstall the printer driver to fix the issue.
1. Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
