I have a paper jam with my 9012 office jet all in one printer.

I have a hp office jet 9012 all in one printer.  I have a paper jam and cannot pull out the paper. i have removed the paper tray,  tried to turn off the printer. it will not shut down. i removed the plug from the back of the printer and removed the plug from the outlet  I have watched videos to open the cartridge door and lift the top of the printer to remove the paper jam. the top will not open nor  the does the back of the printer.  Help!!!
