Hi @Maikäfer,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing a paper jams that occur only when printing multi-page documents on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3302 may be due to issues such as worn rollers, incorrect paper settings, or problems with the paper tray alignment. Here are steps to troubleshoot the problem:
1. Check the Paper Type and Quality
- Use correct paper: Ensure the paper you’re using meets the printer specifications (e.g., weight, size, and texture). Avoid damp, wrinkled, or torn paper.
- Load paper correctly: Make sure the paper is neatly stacked and the guides in the tray are snug but not too tight.
2. Inspect and Clean the Rollers
- Open the printer and inspect the rollers for dust or wear.
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol to clean the rollers.
- If the rollers are worn or cracked, they may need replacement.
3. Check for Obstructions
- Open all access points (input tray, output bin, rear door) and ensure there is no debris or torn paper remnants.
4. Adjust Printer Settings
- Go to your print settings:
- Windows: Open the print dialog box > Properties or Preferences.
- Mac: Open the print dialog box > Show Details.
- Ensure the paper size and type match the paper in the tray.
- If duplex printing (double-sided), try disabling it temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.
5. Test with a Different Paper Tray
- If your printer has multiple trays, try using another tray to determine if the issue is tray-specific.
6. Firmware Update
- Ensure the printer firmware is up to date. Check the HP website for the latest firmware and install it using the HP Smart app or HP Support Assistant.
7. Perform a Factory Reset
- If the above steps don’t work, reset the printer to factory settings:
- Press Settings > Restore Defaults > Confirm.
- Reconfigure the printer and test printing again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
