Hi I have been trying to contact a real person.
(I have been paying $12 a month for 3 years I feel like I should be allowed to.)
Anyway the "front door" to my 4100 series printer is off the hinge on one side and I can't quite get it back on.
I can shut the door with only a little trouble but the printer refuses to print instead giving me a "paper jam" error.

Hi @BobHyneman,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check for Actual Paper Jams:
- Open the paper input tray and check for any jammed paper.
- Remove any visible paper carefully to avoid tearing.
Clean the Paper Path:
- Ensure there is no debris or small pieces of paper stuck in the paper path.
- Use a lint-free cloth to clean the accessible parts of the paper path.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer to reset the error.
I hope this helps. if the issue still persists after dealing with paper jam issue let me know.
