I am having an issue with my HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 Series Priner. Every print I send to the printer is taking forever. Before every page the feed rollers spin for about a minute before sending a page through and printing like normal. There are no broken parts and this issue just started happening randomly out of the blue. I rarely use the printer as well so it isn't likely that its caused by a worn part. Resetting the printer and doing some basic cleaning does not help. I don't really want to have to disassemble the printer if I don't have to.
Here is a video showing the issue: https://youtu.be/TlTgllqBb74
Notes about the video:
In the video the lid sensor switch is pressed/actuated with a metal spudger so you can see what is happening internally during a print. Printer feed rollers spin for about 1 minute before printing each page. Two blank pages were printed in the video.
Has anyone encountered this issue before and know of a solution?

@Geek_Street, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand the paper pick rollers are not working properly. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Update the printer firmware

I have since solved this issue. I had originally thought it was the paper feed gear, but didn't see anything visually wrong with it. Its a common part to break causing the issues in the video I posted, but it usually completely falls off in the printers I have serviced. In this case it cracked in the usual spot but stayed put. It would end up slipping after a few rotations. I 3D printed a replacement gear in Nylon and its working perfectly. Long story short, check the paper feed gear if you have this issue. For those who don't have the ability to model and 3D Print a replacement gear, you can buy one
