HP Office Jet Pro 6968. Msg says: There is a problem with the printer or print system. Turn the printer Off and then ON. If you continue to get this msg contact HP. Also says printer was not shut off properly.

@Rich0731, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to use the printer due to this error. Install one ink cartridge at a time and check for the error.

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - An 'Ink System Failure' or 'System Supply Problem' Error Displays

 

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure.
