Hello!
I'm having some issue that no matter the amount of A4 paper in the feed tray, it attempts to pull, but nothing is being drawn. It's like the rollers are not even hitting the paper. It seems the A4 tray does not lift at all to feed. The A3 parts of the tray lift correctly.
Does anyone know how to fix it ?

Hi @3AMD,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing a paper feed issue with your HP Officejet K7100 printer, specifically with the A4 paper tray. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.
- Check Paper Size Settings: Ensure that the paper size settings on the printer match the size of the paper in the A4 tray. Sometimes, misconfigured settings can lead to feed issues.
- Inspect for Paper Jams: Open the printer cover and inspect for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. Clear any paper that may be blocking the rollers.
- Clean the Rollers: Dust and debris on the rollers can affect their grip on the paper. Use a lint-free cloth and a small amount of water to gently clean the rollers. Make sure the rollers are dry before attempting to print again.
- Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve minor issues.
- Check Tray Alignment: Ensure that the A4 paper tray is correctly aligned and seated in the printer. If there are any misalignments, it may cause feeding problems.
- Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. If not, update them. Alternatively, you can uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers to ensure they are not corrupted.
- Test with Different Paper: Try using a different batch of A4 paper. Occasionally, issues may arise due to the quality or condition of the paper.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, there may be a mechanical problem with the paper feed mechanism.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
