Hi. I have a HP Office Jet Pro 6978 for a couple years now. It works great...printing and scanning with no issues. Yesterday, a paper jam occurred just at the area where the paper is being fed into the printer from the paper tray. I've removed the jammed sheet of paper, shut off the printer, removed the plug, waiting 10 seconds and replaced the plug. I tried to print again, however, the same issue occurs over and over in the exact same spot. The paper won't feed into the printer from the tray. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I have so much work to do! Thank you.

Hi @Emma113,
I'd like to help!
I understand you are facing a paper jam issue.
Try the below suggestions-
Reset the product
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Try updating the printer's firmware -HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Also, try the steps in the document - A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays
If the issue persists, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
