Hello,

My printer started giving me the error code ox6100004a.

I tried to reset it but no luck.

I found a hard reset walkthrough but I cannot even remove the ink cartridges in the first step.  When I open the printer top the cartridges do not slide over so I can't remove them.

Thanks.

@carl12345, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

This seems like a hardware issue with the printer as the print carriage is stuck. Let us try these steps:

Perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve a carriage jam issue - 'Carriage Jam' or 'E3' Error Displays

Also, check for any jams inside the printer as shown in this document - A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays

For more info on resolving a 0x error, refer to - '0xc19a0005' or Similar Error Code Displays

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
