HP Color Laser MFP 178nw

My paper was jammed inside the printer and paper was crumpled in the process. Managed to clear out the paper jam and continue printing after that. However all the printouts became blurry and the paper came out a little wavy. I took out the toner cartridge and image drum and everything looked ok. No scratches or damange.

Please advise.

Either engage a service center or search around for a service manual or youtube video on how to remove. They are not a simple pull out unit like you find on commercial machines.

I have seen this issue when a piece of paper gets wrapped around the fuser. It can be hard to see without removing into the fuser to examine more closely.

Hi Repairatrooper,

Thanks for the advice and i went to check again and found the paper you were referring to. However i am not able to pull or roll the paper out and i managed to pull bits of it out only. Opened the back of the printer but cannot find any paper there too.

Those types of jams often require fuser removal. You want to be careful as the rollers are soft material and easily damaged by tools.

Thanks again for the reply Repairatrooper. How do i do the fuser removal? I dont see a way to access from either the front or rear access door. I reckon have to send to service centre to do it?

Thanks again for the prompt reply Repairatrooper. Good info you had provided me. At least i have some idea what has gone wrong. Anyway i guess its time to find a service expert to help clear the jam. Spending money again....
