It will print one time after unplug reboot, then says paper jam. There is no paper jammed. I can’t see dirt or any legit reason for it to fail. Help!

Thanks, but I tried all of that before, to no avail. There is obviously a problem with sensors in the machine, because I can print a single sheet after a reboot, after which it says there is a jam.
The unbelievable thing is that I can’t find any service center to repair it in the eastern US, let alone in my immediate area. It’s a lightly used 3 year old laser printer, and shouldn’t just get junked when it’s clearly a serviceable problem. HP is useless on support. So now it’s a 50lb piece of trash.

I 100% agree with you.
Still sounds like a paper size mismatch of some sort. Can you check if the paper sizes in your settings are the same as the paper you are using?
There must be at least independent repair shops near you.

If you can print one page then it is quite possible that there is a problem with the exit sensor or flags. This sensor is activated by the flaps at the top of the output tray the get pushed up as the paper exits and then drops down. If that sensor is not working properly then the printer assumes the paper never exited and is jammed in the pritner.
