hp envy 4520 jams with cardstock

My hp envy printer jams 98% of time using cardstock.  Used different paper settings but when it pulls the paper out it jams most of the time.  Help please!!

If you have not done so, make sure the printer is clean and ready to print.

What else?

  The card paper must be supported in both size and paper weight.

What else?

  There are two main printer application / software options - be sure the full driver is installed.

1. Full Feature Software / full driver > Category Software and Drivers > Topic Software-Utility. 
   • Use the Easy Start wrapper to install.
2. HP Smart Windows application > Category Software and Drivers

  The printer must be aware that you have loaded card paper into the tray.

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

If applicable, check the Advanced section (at the bottom of the Tray and Paper Management menu)

Click Apply to save changes

  The setup might include the need to have created a Custom Paper Size form.

  The Printing Preferences must be adjusted - a proper shortcut selected and the settings adjusted.

  The program / application / software you use to view and submit the job to the printer should be appropriate for the file type (document type) or image type.
