Example: Pavilion 6530inkjet pro 9015
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

printer is about 6months and printed just fine.  Printer will print from the computer (usb port) but I get error "copy size does not match support statement (5.5x8.5) load a supported size of paper in tray.  Only 8.5x11 regular paper in the tray.  Please help

@booknote, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Let us try these steps:

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Remove the papers from the tray and reload them. To know how to load the papers correctly, refer to - Loading Paper, Envelopes, Cards

Once you close the tray, you will get an option on the printer screen to select the paper type and paper size.

Select 8.5x11 plain paper. 

 

Also, check the print settings on the app you are using to print.
