HP Photosmart 7520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am not technical so need some help in understanding why when I look in the Control Panel under Devices and Printers 2 printers show up.  One is the default printer HP Photosmart 7520 series (Network) and the other is HP96DC72 (Hp Photosmart 7520 series).  I have included a snapshort of the Properties of both printers shown under Devices and Printers.  I have combined 3 snapshots into one.  Item 1:  shows properties under the default printer with the drop down list showing the 2 printers, why two of them?  Item 2:  shows properties for the second printer (HP96DC72) indicating it is a web services printer.  Item 3:   shows properties for the default printer.

Can someone explain what the heck this is all about?  I have one printer but do have it defined in my router as a printer for remote printing, although I have not used it for that purpose yet.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Thank you............Ralph

Hi,

Those are two logical printers and you can use both:

1. The first one is connected to your WiFi network normally,

2. The second one is connected direct, you can print even when your network down.

Regards.
