Hi @Bagnerse ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting an error code E0 on an HP DeskJet 2820e All-In-One Printer typically indicates a problem with the setup process. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
- Check Connections: Ensure that all cables, including the power cord and USB cable (if applicable), are securely connected to the printer and the power source.
- Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, and then plug it back in. Turn the printer back on and see if the error persists.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can often resolve compatibility issues and bugs. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Reset Printer: Resetting the printer to its factory settings can sometimes clear up errors. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
- Check for Paper Jams: Even if the printer is brand new, there could be small obstructions or bits of packaging material causing issues. Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or foreign objects inside the printer.
- Reinstall Printer Drivers: If you're setting up the printer on a computer, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website. Software and Drivers for HP DeskJet 2820e All-in-One Printer
