HP Envy Photo 6220
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I purchased an Envy Photo 6220 yesterday and the downloaded drivers will not work.  I can print via the iPhone app but not from my laptop - and yes, I've tried every method I can / can find.

The installer gets as far as 1 of 10 and then the error I receive is: Call to DriverPackageInstall returned error 13 for package 'C:\Program Files\HP\HP ENVY Photo 6200 series\DriverStore\YetiV4\hpygid24_v4.inf'.

I have tried installing as an administrator and using the administrator account.

Any ideas?

You’ve clearly not read my earlier post. I’ve used the installer and it gives me an error. Where else do you think I got the installer from when you don’t supply a disk?

I’ve downloaded the full web installer and I get the error stated above.

Please help before I return the printer as it’s currnelty useless.

Thanks for the response.

I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:

In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Good Luck.

Thanks for the response.

If that's the case, please check the security software settings which might also block the installation.

I’ve deleted my security software and the installation doesn’t work.

I’ve also activated the administrator account and that doesn’t work.

In that case, try creating a new user account with windows, and try installing it.

Let me know if it worked. 🙂

Hi, I tried a new account but it didn't work.

In the end I reinstalled Windows 10 and then it worked.

Thanks for your help.
