7640 printer wont connect to wifi ruter

My printer has been working fine but now wont connect to wifi router. I have tried switching router and printer off and back on but this hasnt worked. When in wifi set up wizard, the printer does not find my router. Any ideas?

Thank you for posting in the HP Forum.

Have you recently changed your network or router or carrier? 

If your network is 5GHz it will not work with this printer. If you can switch your network to a regular 2.4 GHz network then it should find it.

You may need to move the printer closer to the router and refresh the list on the printer front panel again.

You can also download the HP print and scan doctor for further troubleshooting

Thanks. I did change my router/supplier a couple of months ago but printer has been working fine. There are 5GHz and 2.4 options. My printer is only 5 metres from router. I printed out a wireless network test result and it says the wireless radio is not functioning - contact go support.

Reset the printer back to Network Defaults via the front panel.   Now verify the wireless radio is enabled via the front panel.  Status now?

Printed network configuration sheet- nothing in there says wireless radio so not sure what I'm looking for but in the wireless section the status is shown as disconnected.

Says the same - 'Pass' for wireless on, 'Fail' for wireless working and 'Not run' for signal quality

Well it looks like your wireless radio has failed in  the printer since you have the same error message. 

However since you have an Ethernet port you can use Powerline Ethernet adapters to connect your printer to your house wiring and your router.   Search the web.
