If you are unable to install a firmware update for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check Internet Connection: Ensure your printer is connected to a stable internet connection.
Update via HP Smart App:
- Download and install the HP Smart app from 123.hp.com.
- Add your printer to the app if it is not already added.
- Open the app and click on your printer.
- Navigate to "Printer Settings" and then "Advanced Settings."
- Look for firmware updates and follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
Update via HP Easy Start:
- Go to 123.hp.com and download the HP Easy Start software.
- Run HP Easy Start and follow the prompts to set up your printer.
- During setup, the software will check for any available firmware updates. Allow it to install the update if prompted.
Check Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer panel to find the IP address of your printer.
- Enter the printer's IP address into a web browser to open the Embedded Web Server.
- Go to the "Settings" tab and select "Printer Maintenance" or "Firmware Update."
- Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
