HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

8620 will not connect to windows 10 computer. Printer is connected to local wifi.  computer is connected to same local wifi.  Device driver automatically updated last month which disconnected the wireless connection.  Now, I can only print via USB.  I have spent 10+ hours reinstalling the HP software and trying to reinstall the printer connection from the windows 10 computer to no avail even using the IP address of the printer.  2 calls to HP tech support have confirmed that the updated driver is now preventing wireless connection from windows 10 to the 8620 printer.  Their recommendation is to buy a new printer.  I am waiting for a call from a supervisor.

I finally talked to a supervisor, Desiree, today and have a solution.  The 8620 must connect through your router using 2.4 protocol.  The router will usually set up using the AUTO selection for channel.  You MUST change that to 11 or 6 or 1 in order for the windows 10 to recognize the printer.  Once you do this all will work fine.  This is NOT noted anywhere online that I could find.
