MAC Airbook
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I have a BT hub. A PC and a MAC Airbook are connected to it wirelessly. All has worked fine for a long time. The PC can see and use the printer. The Airbook lost connection to the printer today; I got a message saying ink levels were low but couldn't access supply levels, and the printer says its ink is fine. I deinstalled the printer on the Airbook but when I try to reinstall it, the software knows the printer is there but is unable to collect information from it, so the install fails. The printer is active on WiFi, and the Airbook internet connection works fine. I am reluctant to reset the network from the printer because I don't want to lose the ability to print from the PC.
