This bulletin applies to my printer. What do I have to do to protect myself?

It's explained in the bulletin:

RESOLUTION

HP has provided software and driver updates for potentially affected products listed in the table below. To obtain the updated software, go to the HP Software & Drivers page and search for your printer model.

Something is wrong with the link above, When I click on it, all I see is a blank white screen.

I found this URL instead:

https://support.hp.com/ca-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-6000-all-in-one-printer-series/29256672/mod...

On that screen,  I found this:

The Drivers section just points me to something generic about the fact that I'm using MacOS. The Firmware section says the latest firmware (which I have installed already) is dated January 6, 2021, which was about 6 weeks earlier than the security bulletin.

The security bulletin lists my particular model number as a model that is vulnerable to arbitrary code execution. I don't want a key logger or invisible man-in-the-middle attacker or any other such malicious malware to be installed on my printer or my computer, or any device that may try to print to it.

Please explain how I should be reassured by all of this that somehow, between HP and Apple, I am safe from such risks.

Can you see the screen shot that I tried to insert into the above post? I can't. All I can see is two triangles that look like "caution" road signs.
