Acer Spin 5 laptop not detecting 2nd HP E232 monitor using USB 2 cable.

Acer Spin 5 laptop not detecting 2nd HP E232 monitor using HP provided USB 2 cable (no VGA option on laptop).  1st monitor used HDMI cable with no issues but laptop doesn't have a 2nd HDMI port so need to use the provided HP USB 2.0 cable., however Acer laptop is not detecting 2nd monitor. Any thoughts?

I don't know what is your computer BUT USB 2.0 ports on your monitors won't give video. This is not going to work.   Does your Acer machine have USB-A port ? If yes, you can use a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                       USB to HDMI Adapter

for the second monitor.
