I have a quick set set up for scanning to a network folder. One of the options when setting it up was "start immediately when selected from the home screen.", but I cannot set the "Quick Set" to the home screen. I have to tap Menu > scroll to Quick Sets > then tap my Network Folder quickset. Is there a way to add that button to the home screen so it truly is "one tap from the home screen"?

@Echo419Alpha, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

You're absolutely right that the "Start immediately when selected from the home screen" option implies a one-tap experience. However, for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9130e, Quick Sets are typically accessed via:

Home Screen > Menu > Quick Sets > [Your Quick Set]

To make a Quick Set appear directly on the Home Screen, follow these steps:

How to Add a Quick Set to the Home Screen:

Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Find your printer’s IP address from the control panel:
Home > Settings > Network Settings > View IP Address
  • Enter that IP address into a web browser to open the EWS.

Log in to the EWS:

  • Click Scan > Quick Sets.
  • Select your existing Quick Set or create a new one.

Enable Home Screen Shortcut:

  • While editing the Quick Set, ensure the option “Start immediately when selected from the home screen” is checked.
  • Also check “Display on Home Screen” (this is the key setting that makes it appear directly).

Save Changes and Reboot Printer (if needed):

  • Click Apply.
  • If the Quick Set doesn’t appear immediately, restart the printer.

Note: If the “Display on Home Screen” option is missing, ensure your printer firmware is up to date. You can update it via the EWS or HP Smart app.
