Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to add a network printer to HP Smart so that I could print from an iPad.

I am running Windows 10 Home 21H2 64-bit connecting wirelessly to my network

I have 2 HP printers, both connected via ethernet cable to the router:

HP Officejet 6500A Plus
HP Laserjet 1320n

Both work fine with various Windows apps and identify as being on the same network.

On my Windows desktop, with the HP Smart app:

The Officejet displays as ready
The Laserjet does not display and cannot be found by searching name or IP address.

On my iPad, with its HP Smart app:

The Officejet displays as ready and displays as Officejet 6500 E710n-z
The Laserjet shows Unavailable and displays as hp LaserJet 1320 series

I have three questions:

1) Is what I'm attempting even possible?

2) Why does the iOS app show both printers and the Windows app not?

3) What next - how could I print from my iPad to my Laserjet?

You will not be able to use LJ1320 with HP Smart because the printer is a way too old model to be supported. The app might recognize LJ1320 as a device but it doesn't know what to do with it.
