Hi,
Is there a way to reset the admin password on my new MFP 2604sdw printer. I stored the password i set in my password manager but it doesn't accept it. Maybe something went wrong with setting the password. Problem is, i can't access all the settings now.
Thanks in advance.

@Alex25801, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Admin password!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
For the HP Laser MFP 2604sdw, if the admin password isn’t working and you suspect it was set incorrectly, you may need to perform a factory reset to restore access. Please note this will reset all settings to default, including the admin password. Here's how:
On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Service > Restore Defau
lts.
Confirm the reset.
Once it restarts, the admin password will be cleared and you can set a new one.
Let me know if you need help setting it back up after the reset!
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi Zoey,
Thank you very much for your reply.
As far as I know, there is no control panel on the printer itself. Only a wifi button, info button, cancel button, and some copy options buttons. The display is only able to display some limited letters and symbols, so I don't know how it should display a control panel UI.
The only way to get to the point what you describe is via the EWS. (Home, service, reset factory defaults). And that's where you need the admin password for.
Is there a button combination on the printer itself to reset the printer?
Thanks in advance.
