'Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after 31 December 2020. Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems.'  I did uninstall Adobe Flash Player. Now, when I try to open HP Solution Centre to work my Offiicejet 5610 this message appears

HP Solution Center

Solution Center has detected that you do not have the correct Version of Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer installed. You can easily download and install this application for Internet Explorer at: http://get abobe.com/flashplayer/:

Solution Center will not be able to work until you have installed Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer

https://www.adobe.com/au/products/flashplayer/end-of-life.html

Since Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after 31 December 2020 and Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning 12 January 2021, Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems.

Some users may continue to see reminders from Adobe to uninstall Flash Player from their system.  See below for more details on how to uninstall Flash Player.

I'm not particularly computer literate at 83. It appears that the Adobe Flash Player is an integral part of the Officejet 5610 operating system. However, when I ran the diagnostic program HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows (which showed the Solution Center as faulty) I ran the Test Scan and the Solution Center opened as per normal. What can I do to get my Solution Center icon to open my Scan Document file?

Thanks for the information. I downloaded Photosmart D110A Solution Center. As a result I can open my HP Solution Center icon. However, it appears that the .pdf facility originally on offer in this facility is tied to Adobe Flash reader and is now unavailable. At least I can access most of the facilities on offer eg crop, rotate, lighten, darken, multiple copies etc

So, thank you for your advice.

I have the same problem with a Photosmart D110A Solution center not working because of missing and not available adobe flash, also Win7-64. My solution was to install photosmart solution center on an XP PC that is never connected to the net so adobe can't update flash to the self-destructing version. It will not be efficient to sneaker net documents with a USB drive, but it is what it is.

Download the HP "Utility Diagnostic tool"  app (also known as HP print and scan doctor)  for your particular printer model to solve the problem you can not open the HP solution Center because the adobe reader plugin was discontinued in 2020.

It fixed the problem.

PROBLEM IS THAT THE SCAN DOCTOR WONT INSTALL DUE TO ERROR ON WIN7

HP Recommended

Try Photosmart D110A Solution center which was mentioned above.

Maybe scan DR was not written to be compatible with windows 7.

I did all you suggested and  it appears that the .pdf facility originally on offer in this facility is tied to Adobe Flash reader and is now unavailable (as above). Having downloaded the other program mentioned, at least I can access most of the facilities on offer via the HP Solution Centre icon eg crop, rotate, lighten, darken, multiple copies etc

So, thank you for your suggestion.

If you can print the document and want a pdf then select print and see if you can print it as a pdf.

Windows 10 allows this. Do not remember if 7 did.

If not see if you can download  an app to allow you to print as a pdf file.

Good suggestion. The problem is that as I understand it the .pdf system belongs to Adobe.
