Apparently, Adobe software installed on my Mac is preventing my printer from communicating via wifi with my Macbook Air running Mojave (error 9923). Iphone connects without any problem via HP Smart app over wifi.
The connection is reestablished only after launching Adobe Creative Cloud. Is someone aware of this? Why is Adobe interfering with my printer connections?

A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
Updating Adobe Cloud Apps, printer firmware and Mac OS may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:
1.) Use the steps available here to update Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
2.) Download and install the printer firmware update available here.
3.) Use the steps available here to update software on your Mac.
Once you complete the update, restart printer, router and Mac.
Let me know how it goes!

Thanks but NO thanks. I don't want to waste my time updating or checking or whatever, I simply cancelled all my Adobe subscriptions and erased all Adobe software from my computer. Dadah! Now it works again flawlessly.
