I changed the email address for my HP Log in . Ever since, my printers show on my computer app (HP Smart) but when I click "Account" and "Manage Account" it takes me online and it says I have no printers.   This website show the correct two that I own.   I am trying to change the printer email address (DIFFERENT from my login situation).   the only way to do that is via the HP Smart App.

Hi @Bigmommaaustin,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems you're experiencing issues with syncing your printers to your updated HP account information. Here are the steps you can follow to resolve this issue.

Verify HP Account Information

Sign in to HP Smart:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Ensure you are signed in with your new email address. If not, sign out and sign back in using the updated email.

Check Online Account:

  • Go to the HP Smart website (https://www.hpsmart.com) and sign in with your updated email address.
  • Verify if your printers are listed under your account. If they aren't, you may need to re-add them.

Reconnect Your Printers

Remove and Re-add Printers:

  • In the HP Smart app, remove your printers by clicking on the printer icon and selecting "Remove Printer".
  • Add the printers back by clicking on "Add Printer" and following the prompts to connect them again.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device.
  • Print a network configuration page from your printer to verify its network status.

Change Printer Email Address

Access Printer Settings:

  • Open the HP Smart app.
  • Click on your printer, then select “Printer Settings” or “Advanced Settings”.

Change Printer Email:

  • Look for an option like "HP ePrint" or "Web Services".
  • You should see an option to change the printer’s email address. Follow the prompts to update the email address.

Synchronize Your HP Account

Sync HP Smart App:

  • Close the HP Smart app and reopen it to refresh the connection.
  • Sign out and sign back in if necessary to force a synchronization.

Verify Printer Email Change:

  • Print a new information page from your printer to confirm the new email address.
  • Check the HP Smart app and online account to ensure the changes are reflected.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue with your HP account and change the printer email address successfully.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
