When I try to print scanned pdf files you can barely see the ink regarless of the setting.  The printer works fine with any other file type I've tried including scanned documents/pictures and other pdf files such as manuals.  This has only been a problem since the printer recently updated. I took the file to a friend's and it printed fine.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader DC and tried to print the file from HP Smart.  Neither of those recommended solutions worked.   Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Hi @ADD331

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Try step# 2, 3 and 5 from this document - HP Printers - Improving Scan Quality

If the issue still persists, try updating the printer's firmware. Here's the firmware download link.

Let me know how that goes.
