Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw

 

I just installed a HP Color LaserJet M283cdw.  It prints fine from Windows and MacOS clients; however, not able to print from iOS devices.  Get "No AirPrint Printers Found" when selecting Printer, and if send it to Print with HP Smart, then the printer shows up but the Print button is greyed out.  In the HP Smart app, the printer says its online and ready. 

 

In the printer config, Airprint is enabled, along with the following protocols: IPP/IPPS, IPPS, LPD Printing, Bonjour, WS-Discovery/Print/Scan, SOAP Scan, eFCL, SLP, 9100 Printing, eSCL, AirPrint Fax-out, eCCL, LLMNR, and LPD Banner printing. 

 

I have already rebooted everything, and it is connected to the same WiFi network, as stated in all the articles I read.  None of the troubleshooting steps found have fixed the issue.

I understand that the print option is greyed out in HP Smart app, I am glad to assist you.

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates

Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app on your iOS
