Hello, one and all,
The “Printer Assistant” Program (version: 028.000.1313.000)
Which holds several apps for the printer like: ink level, print and scan, tools and aid.
When this program is opened it spreads across all screens, it has to be reduced via the windows fullscreen/ reduce button found in the top right-hand corner.
Normally if you close a program with a different 'window' size it will retain that size the next time you open the program.
My copy, unfortunately, does not.
This may be a problem in the HP interface or a windows 10 problem.
Any suggestions are most welcome.

Welcome to HP Community
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
I suggest you uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions
Thank you

In “Programs and Features” section I found the following 5 entries: 1. HP Deskjet 2050 J510 series Aide 140.0.61.61 2. HP Photo Creations 1.0.0.7702 3. HP Smart (HP Inc.) 4.HP Update 5.005.002.002 5.Logiciel de base du périphérique HP Deskjet 2050 28.0.1313.0
I deleted each one individually with the aid of a third party “uninstaller” program..... this also included any 'spare ' files and registry entries. I followed the rest of the instructions, reinstalled and restarted the computer.
Unfortunately the original problem was still present.
After further investigation I have concluded that this a glitch unique to my computers' configuration. I use an AMD Eyefinity program which combines the screens to give resolution of 5760 x 1080 which I believe is causing the HP program to always open across all three screens.
The instructions here are very clear and easy to follow...I'm sure they will work for a multitude of problems....so I accepting this as a solution which I hope will allow others to profit.... Thankyou.... KrazyToad
