Is there any way to obtain the printer driver for a discontinued model, HP Photosmart C4180 ? I uninstalled and was going to reinstall to deal with a problem, and then learned that HP considers the printer obsolete and unsupported.

Is there another source out there to download this driver?

Or -- my laptop is still able to run the printer; is there some way to copy a printer driver from one computer (laptop) to another (desktop) via cable or something?

Hi,

Follow below steps to install the printer, a basic print and scan driver is available through Windows Update:

You can try a utility like Double Driver to backup on one system and then restore to the other.
