I have the new MacOS 14.0 "Sonoma" operating system on my iMac desktop. The Apple Print Center app is telling me the software on my HP Laser Jet M203dw printer is missing and that I need to contact the manufacturer. I tried to install the a Firmware Update. The OS is blocking installation and will not let me open the update. I get a message that Apple cannot check the code for malicious software and it won't open the HP Firmware Updater app. It says the HP Firmware Update software needs to be updated, and the I should contact the developer for more information. I also don't know how to access new drivers. What should I do?

I was able to find an old post that suggested this workaround for the security scan, which worked:
Hi,
You may right click (or CTRL + left Click) the HP Firmware Updater and then click on Open, that should bypass the restriction.
I still can't find any new driver software for this printer using MacOS 14 Sonoma.
