Officejet 4632

Last year Apple upgraded the operating system to Catalina and HP scanner function failed to work. I was told Hp was fixing the problem . Since then I have used Apple Image Capture to scan. Now, yesterday, after a new upgrade to Catalina 10.15.7 the Image Capture does not work. I tried downloading a new driver (version Aug 2020), but Safari says it cannot complete the download. And the Quick setup download was rejected by Apple because its says it could not verify that it contained no bugs.

What can I do with this version of Occicejet to get the scanner to work???

@Scottsdalebrian, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Are you able to print fine?

is the printer connected wirelessly to the MAC?

For now, let us try these steps:

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

Install the printer using the AirPrint driver as shown in step 2 of this document.

Try printing and scanning.

If the printer is in sleep mode while scanning, wake the printer and then try scanning.

To know different methods to scan from your MAC, click here.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
