Office Pro 8035
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I thought I was going to 123hp.com (apparently missed the period between 123 &  HP).. The web site looked exactly like HPs, when I looked for the printers driver, nothing for the 8035 was found. Had a tech support window pop up where they promised to walk me through the installation setup. I gave them my number and tech support called. Gave them access to my computer and spent almost an hour listening to this technician complain how my network was slow and almost unresponsive, told the tech the problem was on his end, not mine (my network is awesome). He then promised better help, he hung up and then his boss called, who was basically an **bleep**, barely spoke english, and told me either to work with him on the setup or return the printer to HP.  He then wanted to install a third party software driver and that is when I realized what I was dealing with. I emmidiatly hung up the phone and rebooted my computer to end the connection. Since I have had XXX porn sites automatically go full screen for no reason I can figure out, been trying to clean the computer ever since. People need a warning in the directions or better yet, provide the purchaser of a printer the software driver on a DVD/CD or other so no one gets scammed....

@VaFarmer I understand your concern and I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
