Hi
I have a B109a printer which absolutly refuses to instal on Windows 7 despite it clearly saying on the CD 'Windows 7'. I have downloaded the latest version from the website and it still refuses to install. I have tried it on 3 different computers running the same operating system and it refuses to instal on any of them!
The particular problem I have on my main PC is it keeps saying I do not have any USB devices for it to work despite having 2 USB 2.0 ports and 2 USB 3.0 ports all of which are working perfectly. When I try to install from the CD it says the software does not support my operating system 'Windows 7' despite having Windows 7 printed on the CD!
I thought HP would have resolved issues such as this by now. If HP are not going to resolve this issue then is there an alternative version of the software from another manufacturer etc. that will allow you to install the printer on Windows 7?
No I do not have the money to go and buy another printer!

Tried installing the basic driver and it says my operating system is not supported! Windows 7 is not supported!!!!
The most funny thing is that when you look at the notes for the latest driver they say they have added support for Windows 10? Why do that when you can not even get it to work on Windows 7.

Hi,
Click the Start button and type %temp% into the search bar, then open the shown Temp folder.
Open the latest HP installation folder which begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
Open the Setup folder.
Locate the usbready.exe file and rename it into usbready.old.exe
Browse back to the main extraction folder (the folders who starts with 7z) and launch the Setup.exe file.
Now follow the installation and check for any difference.

Shlomi

Thanks will give it a try. I checked with the computer where it did work and it is using HP Solution Centre 130.0.44.62 is there anywhere I can still download this?
When I did try the CD that came with the printer is said Windows 7 not supperted when it said it was on the CD. Is there any way of bypassing this check too during the installation?

The error appears as a result of the USB 3.0 card of your PC and not due to the installed operating system.
I would assume the other PC with the installation successfully installed do not have USB3.0, both version 13 or 14 will likely fail with the same error due to this reason, following these steps should likely bypass this error.

Just tried it and it works! Thanks very much for this. Hopefully this post will also help others with the same grief.
The HP Photo Creations link downloads that software but it doesn't install but I am happy to iive without that. Everything else seems to be working. Thanks very much
