Hi @Paul945,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the touch screen.
If the touch screen on your HP Photosmart Plus E-All-In-One Printer - B210a is not responding, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
Basic Troubleshooting
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check for Physical Damage:
- Inspect the touch screen for any visible damage, cracks, or debris.
- Clean the touch screen gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Firmware Update
- Update Printer Firmware:
- Visit the HP Support website and check for any firmware updates for your printer model.
- Download and install any available updates.
Reset the Printer
- Reset the Printer:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and reconnect it to the printer.
- Turn on the printer.
Check Touch Screen Calibration
- Calibrate the Touch Screen:
- If your printer has a touchscreen calibration option, try to access it and calibrate the touchscreen. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
Hard Reset
- Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
- Press and hold the # and 6 buttons on the printer.
- While holding these buttons, plug the power cord back in.
- Continue holding the buttons until the printer turns on and starts resetting.
- If the touch screen still does not respond after trying the above steps, it might be a hardware issue.
- Contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
